·Was it working fine earlier on this computer?

Firstly, check if your Olympus digital camera is detected in Device manager and in computer window.

To check in device manager follow the steps below:

1.Click on Start.

2.In the Start Search box type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

3.In the device manager check if the digital camera is detected.

4.Also check if there is any unknown device.

To check in Computer window, click on start and click on computer, verify if the camera is displayed.

If the camera is detected in device manager, you may uninstall and reinstall the USB adapter in device manager. To do this follow the steps below:

1.Click on Start.

2.In the Start Search box type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

3.In the device manager if the digital camera is detected or if it displays as unknown device, right click on the device and click on uninstall.

4.Keep the camera connected to the computer.

5.Restart the computer.

6.After the restart check if the camera is detected and if you can install the softwareOlympus Master 2.3 version.

If the above steps do not help, you may try to put the computer in a clean boot state and try to install the software and check if it helps.

Access the link below and follow the steps to performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7.

Check if you can install the software. Once you have installed the software, see the section on how return your computer to a Normal startup mode by following the steps under “Reset the computer to start as usual”.
