Jun 19, 2005. Join Date Jun 2005 Posts 1. Indmar 5.7 Serial number location. Where on the block can you find the serial number for the engine? My insurance copy won 't just take the boat serial number and the engine hp.now I can 't find the stinking number.

In addition, the boat engine can become damaged by the bursting of pipes as a result of freezing. You will also need gasoline stabilizer for the winter. Here are the steps you need to follow to winterize a marine craft:

• Run the engine and bring it up to operating temperature.
• Treat the fuel system.
• Replace your fuel filter.
• Change the oil.
• Drain seawater from the cooling system.
• Prepare the drive train.
• Take steps to ensure that other parts of the engine for your marine craft function properly.

Fuel consumption varies depending on how fast you're traveling and the specific MerCruiser engine that you have. Some products use as little as 5 gallons per hour while traveling at a moderate speed. Some of them can use as little as 1 gallon per hour when idling or moving at a low speed.

Water is drawn into the system using a belt, and it's often brought in using a hull fitting. However, the water can also be brought in by a pump in the stern drive of the marine craft. The water then passes through either the inboard or the outboard, and it leaves the boat through the exhaust. The way that they are cooled makes inboard motors distinct from outboard engines.
